The Zygmund proof of convergence of partial sums of Fourier series to Riemann integrable periodic functions \(f\) is revisited. The principal results of the authors concern the careful analysis of this convergence at points of discontinuity of \(f\) and the estimates of complex Fourier-Lagrange coefficients of \(f\).
