The principal theorem of an earlier paper [Mathematika 13, 91--96 (1966; Zbl 0171.00902)] was based on an erroneous inequality. This note points out that a corrected inequality [Mathematika 14, 229--232 (1967; Zbl 0171.01001)] restores the proof.
