One studies some new invariants for a Noetherian local ring \(A\), defined using minimal resolutions of \(A\)-modules or socles of finitely generated modules of finite projective (respectively injective) dimension. The behaviour under flat base change is studied. Interesting results refer to Cohen-Macaulay, Gorenstein, hypersurface rings.
