\textit{J.~Roberts} [Studia Math. 60, 255-266 (1977; Zbl 0397.46010)] constructed a linear metric space that contains a compact convex set without extreme points. The authors investigate this example and demonstrate that Robert's linear metric space in an AR, therefore it is homeomorphic to Hilbert space.
