The paper deals with a nonlinear non-affine system. The problem of global and local stabilization of invariant sets is examined. New state feedback stabilizing controllers and sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability of a goal set with a specified region of attraction are proposed. The proofs of the obtained results are based on a detailed analysis of the \(\omega\)-limit sets of the closed-loop system with a speed-gradient controller for the affinized controlled system. Two illustrating examples are given.
