An application of the fuzzy-technology in searching of information in a database is discussed. In the capacity of the database it is implicated the traditional (clear-cat) database with any formal language of inquiry (SQL, QBE) as the main means of access to the database. Several types of possible inquiries to the database are considered. A procedure of information searching which allows to use fuzzy inquiries and specifications is introduced.
