By computational methods explicit embeddings are found of \(\text{PSL}(2,41)\) into \(E_8(7541)\) and of \(\text{PSL}(2,49)\) into \(E_8(1009)\). It follows that both groups embed into \(E_8(\mathbb{C})\). Closer analysis determines the normalizers, and the number of conjugacy classes, of such subgroups.
