Inspired by \textit{E. Witten}'s proof of the positive energy theorem [Commun. Math. Phys. 65, 381-420 (1981)], the author presents a generalization of \textit{M. Min-Oo}'s scalar curvature rigidity theorem for asymptotically hyperbolic spin manifolds, [Math. Ann. 285, 527-539 (1989; Zbl 0686.53038)]. Contents include: an introduction, preliminaries; and rigidity for strongly asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds.
