Nash residues of singular holomorphic foliations (Q5929534)

The authors study the characteristic classes on singular varieties and analyze the Baum-Bott residues and the Nash residues. They prove that, for a polynomial with rational coefficients, the difference of the corresponding residues is a rational class. This gives a partial answer to the rationality conjecture of Baum and Bott. The authors also give methods to compute the differences of the two residues explicitly.
