The paper deals with a rectangular Vandermonde matrix \(V\) on integer nodes. The authors use combinatorial identities in order to give an explicit Cholesky factorization of the matrix \(B= V^TV\) and a factorization of the pseudo-inverse of \(V\). Also, asymptotic estimates of the extremal eigenvalues of \(B\) are given.
