Approximation models for nonlinear thermal waves. (Q5930641)

The authors present the exact solutions to the weak shock theory developed by the first author of the present article. This weak shock theory is only an approximation to the exact Maxwell-Cattaneo theory. The accuracy of the present theory is illustrated by comparing the solutions obtained by the present theory with the numerical solutions of the exact Maxwell-Cattaneo theory.
