The author considers boundary value problems for nonhomogeneous semilinear hyperbolic equations of the second order. He proves the existence of a classical solution to the problem after a finite time and its exponential decay in time, using energy estimates for local solutions to the linear singular hyperbolic equations. As a corollary, the same result for nonhomogeneous boundary conditions is given.
