Today, the explanation of the formation of the large scale structure of the universe is one basic problem of cosmology. This paper discusses the build-up of spherical domain walls in this connection. Solutions of the coupled Einstein-scalar field equations describing such structures are presented. An arbitrary scalar field distribution and a vanishing energy-momentum tensor far away from the center of the wall are used.
