On Dancer's fixed point index formulas (Q5933740)

The author solves an open question of \textit{E. N. Dancer} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 91, 131-151 (1983; Zbl 0512.47045)] for which fixed point index formulas hold true for maps which are strict-set-contractions, non necessarily compact.
