The construction of order 4 diagonally implicit multistage integration methods (DIMSIMs) of type 1 and 2 for stiff and non-stiff problems is discussed. These methods are found using Maple after the application of a suitably chosen transformation. The Nordsieck representation of these DIMSIMs formulas leads to a zero stable process. Type 2 methods are selected to have both A-stability and L-stability properties.
