Resolvable balanced incomplete block designs with block size 5 (Q5935427)

The authors present a construction of \((v,5,2)\) resolvable balanced incomplete block designs (RBIBD) for \(v \equiv 5\pmod {10}\) (this is the well-known necessary condition) and \(v \geq 405\). For smaller \(v\), 13 possible exceptions remain. A construction of \((185,5,1)\) RBIBD is also given, thus completing one of the six remaining cases of \((v,5,1)\) RBIBD.
