The author studies the problem of existence and uniqueness of solutions of a class of nonlinear integral equations in a Banach space using partial order theory. The error estimate of the iterative sequences of approximate solution is obtained. The results are used to study the existence and uniqueness problem of solutions of a class of nonlinear differential equations in a Banach space. Compactness/continuity type conditions are not used in this work.
