Distribution results on the algebra generated by Toeplitz sequences: A finite-dimensional approach (Q5935564)

Consider the multi-indexed sequence \(\{ T_n (a)\}\) of Toeplitz matrices, with \(n\in {\mathbb N}^d\), where \(a\) is an \(L^1\) symbol defined on \((-\pi ,\pi)^d\). For a finite set \(\{ a_{\alpha \beta}\}\) of \(L^1\) functions and a measurable function \(\theta =\sum _{\alpha}\prod _{\beta} a_{\alpha \beta}\), the author studies the spectral distribution, in the sense of \textit{E. E. Tyrtyshnikov} and \textit{N. Zamarashkin} [Linear Algebra Appl. 270, 15-27 (1998; Zbl 0890.15006)], of \(\{\sum _{\alpha}\prod _{\beta}T_n (a_{\alpha \beta})\}\).
