Homoclinic twist bifurcation in a system of two coupled oscillators (Q5935828)

The authors study a system of two coupled Josephson junctions in the case of a capacitive load. They apply Lin's method to study the bifurcation corresponding to the two-dimensional tangency of the stable and unstable manifolds of a rest point. It is not assumed that the system is linearizable near the rest point. They establish the existence of \(n\)-periodic, \(n\)-homoclinic, and bounded nonperiodic orbits. Some results of numerical modeling are reported.
