The authors study the motion of a relativistic particle in the field of an electromagnetic wave traveling in the quadrupole wave-guide. The complete integral of the Hamilton-Jacobi equation is found via the generating function of the canonical transformation. The possibility of applying the electrodynamical system is discussed for focussing and separation of the particles with respect to velocities.
