The paper deals with the problem of the equilibrium state of the physical pendulum with an ellipsoidal cavity partially filled with an ideal incompressible fluid. The author establishes the conditions of stability and instability of the equilibrium state of the physical pendulum depending on the degree of the cavity filling with a fluid and the correlation of the body and fluid masses.
