Abelian solitons (Q5937533)

The authors define \(k\)-abelian solitons and construct some using co-elliptic solitons. In an appendix they prove that several natural candidates for \(k\)-abelian solitons fail. Furthermore they show that the space of their family of co-elliptic solitons is the symplectic reduction of Markman's system of meromorphic Higgs bundles. A detailed investigation of this correspondense is given. These \(k\)-abelian solitons are multi-periodic extension of the Krichever-Treibich-Verdier system of elliptic solitons.
