The authors show a theorem of Hahn-Banach type for 2-linear functionals on 2-normed complex linear spaces. This extension is not trivial, because Bohnenblust-Sobczyk technique, which is working in the real case, is not directly applicable. This paper includes as an application of this theorem the proof of a 2-normed version of the Ascoli-Mazur theorem on tangent functionals and several examples and counter examples.
