The authors show how to prove numerically existence of an intersection point of two holomorphic curves in \({\mathbb C}^2\) which serve as stable and unstable manifolds of the complexified area-preserving diffeomorphism of a plane. In this event the intersection point is called a complex homoclinic point. The method is applied to the semistandard map introduced by Green and Percival.
