The goal of this paper is to show how the nonlinearity of a dynamical system can influence the standard scheme of solving an observation problem. An example is given of a nonlinear discrete time dynamical system, given by a dissipative mapping with an observation problem formulated for this system. The observation is assumed to be corrupted by unknown but bounded noise, while the total system is assumed to be observable under the absence of disturbances.
