Analysis and numerics of an integral equation model for slender bodies in low Reynolds-number flows (Q5939762)

The authors analyze a linear Fredholm integral equation of the second kind which describes the interaction of slender bodies with low-Reynolds-number flows in the limit of ``zeroth slenderness''. This model can be applied in various fields ranging from fiber-spinning to biofluid dynamics. The authors present analytic and numerical investigations of the solution.
