A linear single-input control system is considered. A discrete-time sliding mode control law is proposed to guarantee the existence of the weak pseudo sliding mode along a prescribed hyperplane. Moreover, an upper bound of the sampling period is also determined in order to ensure the stability of the controlled system. To illustrate the performance of the proposed discrete-time sliding mode control scheme, some simulation results are also presented.
