Hausdorff dimension of measures via Poincaré recurrence (Q5940388)

This paper is devoted to the quantitative behaviour of Poincaré recurrence. The authors present nontrivial generalizations of Boshernitzan's result [\textit{M. D. Boshernitzan}, Invent. Math. 113, 617-631 (1993; Zbl 0839.28008)], and provide the dimensional version of the work of \textit{D. S. Ornstein} and \textit{B. Weiss} [IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory 39, 78-83 (1993; Zbl 0764.94003)] for entropy. The authors use different techniques. Moreover their results motivate the introduction of a new method to compute the Hausdorff dimension of measures.
