In short it is proved that the Fourier transform of a distribution \(T\) with compact support which is Cesaro-summable in mean tends to zero uniformly in a neighborhood of a point \(x\) if and only if the point \(x\) does not belong to the support of \(T\). Preparing the proofs some result on the summability of Bessel functions are proved. Finally more in detail distributions with ``spherical support'' are investigated.
