The paper deals with vibrations of a flat inhomogeneous anisotropic plate. In order to construct the solution, the author applies the real version of space-time ray method. As in the case of wave equation, the eikonal equation can be routinely reduced to a characteristic system, and the transport equations are in fact ordinary different equations along characteristics.
