The problem of determining the minimal differential dimension polynomial is considered for some systems of partial differential equations. In particular, for the differential field extension specified by the system of Dirac equations, a primitive element is found. Using this element, an upper estimate for the minimal differential dimension polynomial of this extension, which refines known estimates, is obtained.
