The author presents quite a simple idea for constructing certain soliton solutions. An example is provided by the solutions of the Ginzburg-Landau theory of a superconductor in a magnetic field, the so-called Abrikosov vortices. These vortices are the magnetic flux tubes penetrating type-II superconductors. The results of the author are reminiscent of the solution by separation of variables of certain partial differential equations.
