The authors combine works of \textit{P.~Fong} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 103, 484-494 (1962; Zbl 0105.25603)] and \textit{J.~A.~Green} [Math. Z. 70, 430-445 (1959; Zbl 0086.02403)] in a common but simple setting. These results are about indecomposable projective modules over integral and modular group algebras.
