A simple modification of \textit{E. Weiszfeld}'s iterative algorithm [Tôhoku Math. J. 43, 355--386 (1937; Zbl 0017.18007)] is introduced for the solution of the Fermat-Weber location problem in \(\mathbb R^n\) with the Euclidean distance. The algorithm is also extended to the case of nonlinear cost functions.
