The paper deals with numerical schemes to solve coupled mixed linear partial differential systems with coupling boundary conditions. The numerical solution is obtained using a discrete separation of variables method, i.e., the finite difference method is used but the solution of large algebraic systems is avoided. Stability and consistency of the scheme are studied.
