The paper describes a boundary element implementation to solve geometrically nonlinear solid mechanics problems involving elastoplasticity. A total Lagrangian description is discussed, leading to domain discretization and system matrices that remain unchanged throughout the solution process. A Newton-Raphson scheme, coupled with the GMRES algorithm for each iteration, is accepted to solve a number of two-dimensional, three-dimensional and axisymmetric problems.
