This paper is devoted to a robust multigrid method for twodimensional problems derived from Maxwell's equations for cylindrical symmetric problems after coordinate transformations. The transformed equations have unbounded coefficients depending on one of the coordinates. The author present a multigrid method based on tensor product decomposition, semicoarsened grid hierarchies and special smoothers. He proofs convergence and provides numerical examples.
