On totally real submanifolds in a nearly Kähler manifold (Q5946170)

Let \(M^m\) be a totally real submanifold of a nearly Kähler manifold \(\widetilde M^{2m}\). The author proves a relationship between the covariant differential of the second fundamental form of \(M^m\) and that of the almost complex structure of \(\widetilde M^{2m}\). An application to the pinching problem for the square of the length of the second fundamental form of a 3-dimensional totally real submanifold of \(S^6\) is given.
