Special issue: Quantum computing and neural information processing (Q5946300)

The articles of this volume will be reviewed individually. This issue provides an up-to-date survey of this important field based on invited papers in sessions on quantum computing and neuro-quantum information processing at the Fourth International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience, one of the constituent meetings of the Fifth Joint Conference on Information Sciences, held at Atlantic City during 27 February--3 March 2000. It aims to showcase some of the very best work that has been done in this burgeoning field that may be called quantum computational intelligence. The work presented here represents research from all over the globe, both industrial and academic.
