The authors investigate a numerical splitting scheme for the Ruijgrok-Wu model derived from the Boltzmann equation. The stability and the convergence of the scheme is proved. Global error estimates in the spaces \(W^{s,p}\), \(-1\leq s\leq 1/p\) , \(1\leq p\leq \infty\) and pointwise error estimate for the approximate solution are also obtained.
