Computational micro-macro material testing (Q5947177)

The authors try to show the power of computational methods compared to experimental testing. For that purpose, after reviewing existing works in the literature about micro-macro models, in section 2 the basic concepts in micro-macro mechanics are presented. In section 3, the authors derive a priori bounds on internal fields. The computational and statistical testing methods are reviewed in section 4. Mathematical generalizations of multiple testing are cultivated in section 5, whereas section 6 gives a finite deformation perturbation analysis. The problem of mechanical losses in material responses in discussed in section 7. The paper is concluded by orienting the readers for future works.
