The authors present a unified approach for successively minimizing the state complexity of self-dual lattices. It uses a Gram-Schmidt orthogonalized basis derived from the basis vectors of a Korkin-Zolotarev reduced basis. They compute the corresponding co-ordinate system and the resulting state complexity for the lattices \(K_{12}, \Lambda_{24},\) and \(BW_n\). They also obtain trellis representations for complex representations of the lattices \(\Lambda_{24}\) and \(BW_n\).
