In the paper under review, the author points out that Einstein's field equations with a non-zero cosmological constant lead, in the weak limit for slowly moving dust, to a modified gravitational law. For a spherically symmetric field of a pointlike mass at the origin, a negative cosmological constant arises in the gravitational force besides the decreasing Newtonian part and an additional attractive part which is linearly increasing with the distance. This suggests the idea that a negative cosmological constant can replace cold dark matter in clusters. To make this idea more quantitative, the age of the universe in case of a negative cosmological constant has been calculated to 13 billion years.
