As it is well known the 5-invariant idea of a unified field theory goes back to the works of Kaluza and Klein. The pioneers of the projective approach to this theory were Veblen and Dantzig. An essential progress in this projective type of theories was done by Jordan. A basically different approach to a projective field theory was proposed by Schmutzer. He had no longer considered the scalar field (which inevitably appears in this theory) to be an auxiliary one. On the contrary he associated this field with a new phenomenon of nature being on the level of gravitation and electromagnetism introducing also a new term, namely ``scalarism''. In this paper the author introduced a new geometrical axiomatics for the Schmutzer theory. By means of this axiomatics he can give a new geometrical interpretation of physical results obtained in the PUFT (projective unified field theory).
