A new method for solution of 3D elastic-plastic frictional contact problems. (Q5947696)

This paper presents a new algorithm for three-dimensional elastic-plastic contact problems. The proposed numerical method combines iteration method and programming method. This algorithm used advantages of both methods, and can overcome difficulties in the solution of highly nonlinear problems such as three-dimensional elastic-plastic problems. Numerical results show high accuracy and good convergence of the new algorithm. Related results can be found in \textit{A. Klarbring} [Comput. Methods Appl. Mech.
