In the paper under review the authors introduce the notion of \(\oplus\)-supplemented modules as a proper generalization of lifting modules, moreover they introduce \((D_{12})\)-modules as proper generalization of \(\oplus\)-supplemented modules. They investigate some properties of the introduced classes of modules and obtain characterizations and decompositions of \(\oplus\)-supplemented modules and \((D_{12})\)-modules.
