    A system of three electrons confined by a harmonic potential in the two-dimensional quantum dot is treated in the framework of the configuration space Faddeev approach. Numerical results for eigenergies of the three lowest states have been obtained for a wide range of angular momenta \(M\) and fitted to an analytical formula that satisfies the correct limits for small and large frequency of the effective potential.
