The author considers the nonlinear equality constrained minimization problem NEWLINE\[NEWLINE\min f(x)\quad\text{subject to }c(x)= 0,NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where \(f: \mathbb{R}^n\to \mathbb{R}^1\) and \(c: \mathbb{R}^n\to \mathbb{R}^n\) \((m\leq n)\) are twice continuously differentiable. A family of improved secant algorithms via two preconditional curvilinear paths, the preconditional modified gradient path and preconditional optimal path is presented.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe results of numerical experiments are reported to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.
