The existence and uniqueness of solution to the Vlasov equation is shown for smooth and short-range potentials in the case of unbounded mass. It is shown that the obtained procedure is constructive, i.e. the time evolution of a given trajectory is essentially that of a finite mass problem, when starting from finite mass solution.
