On direct and inverse problems of electrodynamics (Q5954357)

In this paper the integral form of the Maxwell equations proves to be efficient for studying and solving these equations. Based on an analysis of the relevant operator, relations between the characteristics are found which guarantee that the equations have a unique solution. The solution to the direct problem is established to be nonunique in the general case. The class of functions belonging to the null space of the operator of the direct problem is pointed out.
